
The Stickies widget icon is probably not showing on this first screen of available widgets, so you may need to click the left or right arrows on the side of this dock to show the next page of widgets. That will bring up something that looks like a dock for your widgets, as shown in the next figure. To set this property, check the box called Open Initially in the Sticky Notes Properties dialog.To open the properties dialog, select the annotation with the Hand tool, then right-click (CTRL + Click on Mac) to show the mouse menu and choose Properties.

If it's not already displayed, look in the lower-left corner of the screen and click that big plus sign with a circle around it, as shown in the following image. Alternatively, you can press Command-M on your keyboard to quickly collapse or expand the note you're clicked on. Click Window in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Create a new note or click on an existing one.

Once you're started the Stickies application there are all kinds of crazy things you can do, including setting notes to float and/or be translucent, change fonts, sticky note color, and more. Launch Stickies from the Applications folder on your Mac. Once the Stickies application is started, just click File, and New Note to create a new sticky note, or press. Just open your Applications folder, and click the Stickies application icon.
